How do I get the URL?
Chrome
To get the article's URL from your browser (Google Chrome), first click the address bar at the top of your screen. It is highlighted below:
Then right-click with your mouse or keypad. A set of options that look like this should appear. Click the option that says "Copy" (highlighted below):
Then go back to the Fake News Checker page (that's this one!) Click the box that says "Enter article URL here...". The border should be blue, like this:
Then right-click and click the option that says Paste.
Please note that we will reject URLs for video-sharing or social media websites (such as YouTube and Facebook.)
Internet Explorer
To get the article's URL from your browser (Internet Explorer), first click the address bar at the top of your screen. It is highlighted below:
Then right-click with your mouse or keypad. A set of options that look like this should appear. Click the option that says "Copy" (highlighted below):
Then go back to the Fake News Checker page (that's this one!) Click the box that says "Enter article URL here...". The border should be blue, like this:
Then right-click and click the option that says Paste.

Firefox

To get the article's URL from your browser (Safari), first tap on the address bar highlighted below:
Make sure the whole URL is highlighted like this (see below):
Hold down on the URL until you see options like those ones below. Tap the one that says "Copy":
Then go back to the Fake News Checker page (that's this one!) Tap the box that says "Enter article URL here..."
Once the box is selected (the border should have turned blue) tap the box again and select "Paste".

Chrome (iOS)
To get the article's URL from your browser (Chrome on iOS), first tap on the address bar highlighted below:
Make sure the whole URL is highlighted like this (see below):
Hold down on the URL until you see options like those ones below. Tap the one that says "Copy":
Then go back to the Fake News Checker page (that's this one!) Tap the box that says "Enter article URL here..."
Once the box is selected (the border should have turned blue) tap the box again and select "Paste".
And that's it! Now you can press the "Submit URL" button and find out the analysis results.
